Inclined Floor-Swirl personal control

The SMARTEMP Inclined Floor-Swirl Diffuser, type ISF-AD, is a patent-pending, low-profile floor swirl diffuser designed to maximise personal comfort control via user-adjustment of air pattern (vertical-inclined), air direction (inclined rotation) and airflow rate (low-high).
Uniquely, personal comfort control is retained even when the diffuser is equipped with an optional electric-actuator VAV kit. This is done via air pattern and air direction adjustment by the user, while the discharged airflow rate is determined by motorised variable air volume (VAV) system control.
Additionally, air pattern, air direction and/or airflow rate may be pre-configured or locked, making the diffuser highly adaptable to office fitout changes or suitable for applications where user-adjustment is to be restricted or is not desired.

Floor swirl diffuser with 3-way personal comfort control:

  1. Discharge pattern: vertical-to-inclined discharge, user-adjustable for a dispersed or targeted air pattern.
  2. Inclined direction: may be rotated towards/away from user to increase/decrease air motion.
  3. Airflow rate: may be increased/decreased by user to adjust cooling/heating.

Further Flexibility Options:

  • Discharge pattern configurable from user-adjustable vertical-to-inclined to fixed-vertical or fixed-inclined.
  • Airflow rate configurable from user-adjustable to fixed (min; low; med; high; max).
  • Optional electric VAV with user-adjustable discharge pattern and direction control for personal-comfort VAV.

  • Air supply from the floor, typically at least 500 mm from seated occupants.
  • Low profile depth from finished floor level (FFL) of 97/170 mm without/with electric actuator.
Displacement airflow:

  • 10 – 55 L/s (36 – 198 m³/h)
  • Nominal diameter: DN200
Constant throw VAV: substantially constant throw to head-height of seated occupants prevents cold-feet/warm-head.
Adjustable pattern & direction:

  • Airflow pattern adjustment from a dispersed and gentle vertical plume to an inclined, targeted air stream.
  • Airflow direction adjustment by rotation of the inclined air stream.
Manual adjustment: airflow rate, pattern and direction adjustment are manual.
Circular face shape: 200 mm nominal diameter round floor swirl face, plus mounting flange.
Radial face pattern: substantially radially aligned outer slots.
Concentric face pattern: concentric inner slots.
Plastic face: polycarbonate, dyed grey or to colour of choice.

Options

Electric adjustment: VAV motorised adjustment by means of electric actuator with 24V AC/DC power supply and 2-10 V analogue control input.
Metal face: shot-blasted (optionally powder-coated) or polished cast aluminium finish.
