Quality Air Equipment can help you achieve your energy saving targets through reduced air leakage.
We are authorised ALP ductwork manufacturer in Australia, supplying projects such as the Sydney Opera House as well as 477 Pitt Street, Sydney, the biggest pre-insulated duct project in Australia. ALP duct is available as a system with a full range of components and accessories as well as in Regal Round and Oval shapes.
Recently QAE has acquired the technology to manufacture Regal Round and Oval, making us the first in Australia to manufacture and supply ALP Regal Round and Oval ducting.
30%* Fan Energy Saving achieved via ducting with a leakage rate of <1.5%.
QAE fabricated ALP Pre-Insulated Ducting (rectangular, round or oval) has a SMACNA (Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association) class 3 rating, compared to sheet metal duct and other lightweight ducting. (as per BSRIA, Building Services Research and Information Association) (Ref Ecolibirum article May 2013)
Installing sheet metal duct followed by on-site lagging takes twice as long, compared to ALP Pre-Insulated Ducting. You can further halve your installation time with longer ALP duct lengths of up to 4M compared to the shorter metal ducting of 1.4M.
Furthermore, there are reduced OH&S risks using lightweight duct that is easier to carry with less labour and faster installation.
ALP Ducting is a slimmer ducting which allows more space for your installation. From 50mm – 200mm saving in ceiling space due to ALP Pre-Insulated duct is half thickness of fibre type insulations
ALP Ducting places reduced load on structures, an important consideration when refurbishing older buildings. ALP duct is approximately 80-85% less in weight compared to insulated sheet metal duct.
ALP system kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, fully tested and guaranteed.
ALP micro-virus system is the best priced and tested solution for all hospital, pharmaceutical, food processing and manufacturing applications. The VDI 6022 – 06/2014 standard refers to
Ventilation and Indoor-Air Quality – Hygiene requirements for ventilation and air-conditioning systems and units – Requirements for underground components (VDI Ventilation Code of Practice). The VDI 6022 is a German standard specifically drafted for healthcare projects.
The characteristics of the ALP insulating material, combined with Sekisui acousticbreak, allows for high acoustic comfort, blocking vibrations and resonances inside the duct. (QAE has recently installed ALP pre-insulated ductwork and grilles in the Sydney Opera House project)
ALP duct is tested and approved for use in Saltwater and Chlorinated pools, as well as Hydrotherapy pools, with all components included in testing approvals.
